May and June were on fire when it came to auctioning antique silver vesta cases.
Let’s start with May’s highlights – an 1886 Birmingham hallmarked vesta with enamel Bulldog decoration sold for £160 (lot 278 – 16/05).
Somebody then pillaged a Viking themed vesta for £130 (lot 781 – 30/05).

June grabbed our attention – an 1876 vesta with whistle blew up at £180 (lot 99 – 13/06).

The 7th Infantry were well represented – a ‘desert rat’ themed vesta found its mark at £140 (lot 74 – 27/06).
And finally, we all hailed the vesta as a 1901 Edward VII embossed figurehead case sold for £150 (lot 81 – 27/06).

N. B. All sold prices are hammer prices and exclude commission.
