A WW1 Ottoman (Turkish) “S” Type Buckle. On the buckle there is a star and crescent with the Ottoman script "Asakir-i Sahane" (Asakry Shahanah) (Sultans Army-Ottoman Army) on it. The text has a big stretched "S" type figure which is what makes it a type S.
