Lot 27:
Framed Georgian Coldstream Guards Officers shoulder belt plate, with solid silver fittings on a brass back plate with a blue and red enamelled centre. This once belonged to General Edward Mathew, the Commander of the Guards Regiments during the American Revolution. It was originally on display in the Guards Club, London until its closure in 1975. This item along with many other Regimental mementos were auctioned off to the members, with the funds going to various Guards charities.
