United Nations Emergency Force (UNEF) Medal For Sinai. This was the first of the ongoing series of Medals for UN Peacekeeping duties ( Excluding the Korean War, Which was classed as a Police Action) and was awarded to troops from Brazil, Canada, Columbia, Denmark, Finland, India, Indonesia, Norway, Sweden and Yugoslavia, Who provided the UN buffer force between the opposing Egyptian and Isreali forces following the end of the Siuez conflict. It was Awarded for 90 Days Servic between November 1956 and June 1967, When the UN force was withdrawn just prior to the outbreak of the six-day War. The UN force suffered a total of 107 fatal Casualties during this mission. Note that this is a genuine and original example and not one og the modern re-strikes frequently encountered.
