A good quality fossil fish Rhacolepis buccalis (Agassiz 1841) from Brazil. A professionally prepared and scientifically identified specimen from Araripe Basin, N.E. Brazil, found in the Santana Formation, of Aptian-Albian, Lower Cretaceous age (appr, 121-100 million years old). Due to its excellent state of preservation, fossilised hearts from this species have been recorded!
