A Very Rare and Historic Kit Bag and Laundry Bag Formerly Owned by Captain R G Corbett of the Famous Ship S.S Empire Windrush. The Vessel served as a German Troop and Prisoner Ship in WW2 and taken as a Prize of War in 1945, then in 1948 Steamed into Tilbury Dock with 1027 Post War Imigrants, plus two Stowaways! They are now known as the ‘Windrush Generation’. The bag is marked with the Captains name and Tag.
