These medals are named to A222191 Forrester RA, in the Australian style of naming. Raymond Arthur Forrester served as a Leading
Aircraftsman with No 35 Squadron Royal Australian Air Force in Vietnam from 17 June 1966 to 16 June 19687. He was born on 1 January 1943 at Leichhardt, New
South Wales, and served as an airframe fitter with No 35 Squadron which provided logistic airlift support to the Australian forces serving in Vietnam. The latter medal is
the higher quality type manufactured and issued by the Australian government to replace the rather poor quality original issue (note minor naming error as serial number is engraved ‘A22191 rather than ‘A222191’). Otherwise, Extremely Fine (EF) condition.
