Antique Leather-Bound Brass 3 Draw Ship’s Telescope by Henry Hughes & Son London. Complete
with brass lens cap. This variant has a variable power option of 15, 20 and 25 power. Heavy brass
construction with single draw focus and an additional draw tube for the power selection. Scope
has a 2" (5cm) objective lens and the main barrel is leather covered. There is an extending
section to shade the objective lens. Centre tube section engraved: ‘H. Hughes & Son, ’ over ‘59,
Fenchurch St, ’ over ‘London.’ Fully extended including front lens shade measures approx. 29.25”
(74.5cm) and closed approx. 19.25” (49cm).
