A Late 19th Century Indian Club. Length: 52 cm. Club swinging is believed to have originated in Ancient India by soldiers as a method of improving strength, agility, balance and physical ability. They became popular by the 19th Century British colonists, who named them INDIAN CLUBS,
appearing as gymnastic events in the 1904 and 1932 Olympics.
