An Antique Vietnamese mineral lime pot with Ring Handle. Glazed ceramic exterior with dragon motifs, bamboo-style handle, and rich brown, green, and cream colors.
Used for Vietnamese custom of betel chewing, a popular ancient traditional noble hobby in Southeast Asia regions. Betel-nut chewers would wrap a piece of areca fruit in a betel-pepper leaf, along with a little mineral lime taken from this pot. Displays traditional crackle glaze and minor wear from age. Approximately 17.5 cm height x 15 cm width. Please see photos or request a condition report.
