Lot 812:
A WW2 British Unofficial Cap Badge of the 6th Airborne Armoured Recce. These badges were knocked up in the REME workshop using a parachute regiment badge for the wings and a collar badge of the Royal Armoured Corps. The design was put to the high command but rejected. Some soldiers still worn them anyway on D-Day.
