Guideline: How to Buy with Cadmore Auctions

Buying valuable and unique items at Cadmore Auctions is a straightforward and exciting experience. Whether you’re after jewellery, watches, vintage items, or rare collectibles, our global auction platform offers access to some of the finest pieces available.

Step 1: Browse Our Auctions

Explore our upcoming auctions on the Cadmore Auctions website or any of our partner platforms. We host three-day auctions every two weeks, starting at 10 am, broadcast live on our website. You can place bids online, but first, you need to register an account and be approved by us. The approval process is simple: you just need to pass the 3D card verification, so there’s nothing to worry about.

Our auction catalogues are available in advance:

  • Day 1 catalogue is typically released on Tuesday,
  • Day 2 and Day 3 catalogues are available by Wednesday.
This gives you time to browse the items, calculate your maximum bids, and strategize your purchases.

Each item is carefully photographed and comes with detailed descriptions, including hallmarks on jewellery, designer identifiers, and authenticity cards. If you need more information, you can always request a condition report, where we’ll provide additional photos or videos—like how a ring or watch looks on the hand.

For those who prefer in-person inspections, you can visit our auction house to view items before the bidding begins. Just bring your ID for security purposes.

We also offer the option to place absentee bids or telephone bids. If your item is valued at over £2,000, we will call you when your lot is coming up, allowing you to participate remotely.

Step 2: Register and Place Your Bids

To participate, simply register for an account on our website. Registration is free, and once approved, you can place absentee bids before the auction or bid live during the event. Live bidding is an exciting experience where you can follow the action in real-time from anywhere in the world.

With over 20,000 buyers and approximately 500 active bidders per auction, you’ll be part of a competitive and dynamic bidding environment. Don’t miss the chance to secure your desired items at competitive prices.

Step 3: Winning Your Item

Once you win the bid, we’ll send you an invoice with the hammer price and applicable fees. Our fees include:

  • Buyer’s Premium: Typically 20% of the hammer price, plus VAT.
You’ll also receive detailed payment instructions at this stage.

Step 4: Secure Payment and Shipping

Once payment is complete, we take care of the rest. We offer secure, insured shipping for all items, ensuring they arrive in perfect condition, no matter where in the world you are. Our trusted shipping partners, such as Royal Mail and Parcel Monkey, ensure reliable delivery.
